Performance Review Process - Our annual review process is now underway, providing a means of evaluating employee performance, supporting the differentiation of merit increases, developing individual and team goals, fostering professional development, and completing the formal documentation that allows tracking of progress over time. Among the lessons learned from our Employee Engagement Survey is that our performance review process has not been as effective as possible, partly because only about half of our employees typically receive evaluations. It is a management best practice to provide relevant, timely feedback, and a critical factor in employee professional growth and development. Developing internal talent is an essential management responsibility, and our annual performance reviews allow us to formally reinforce the discussions we've had throughout the year.

Our focus and attention to providing timely, concise, and constructive feedback supports our need to retain and grow an exceptionally talented advancement team. The leadership of this department is committed to improving this situation, and has resolved to redouble efforts to provide each member of our team with a performance evaluation in 2007.
